Charities

The Thumbelina Charitable Foundation supports the selected charities in three ways.

1. Private Visits from Thumbelina: Whenever possible, Thumbelina visits Charities to brighten the days of children and staff. Visits are also intended to attract media attention for the charities and hospitals to enhance their fundraising efforts.
2. Participation in Fundraising Events: Charities are often given permission to use Thumbelina’s name and image to help raise funds through campaigns. When possible, The Thumbelina Charitable Foundation will make Thumbelina available for events that can be auctioned off at charity events: a birthday party with Thumbelina, etc.
3. Direct Financial Contributions: All funds donated to the Thumbelina Charitable Foundation, are used to support the Thumbelina Children’s Tour, the selected charities, and standard legal and accounting overhead. (DONATIONS ARE NOT USED TO PAY SALARIES OR BENEFITS. As sole corporate sponsor, Goose Creek Farms, Inc. has covered the expenses all personnel.)

Equine Alliance is dedicated to improving the lives of children and youth in need through working with horses rescued from neglect and abuse.	EQUI-KIDS Therapeutic Riding Program was established in 1989 to offer horseback riding lessons to individuals with mental and physical disabling conditions.	The Foundation for Children with Cancer is a non-profit organization that focuses on providing support for children throughout their cancer treatment.
